The witches’ brew is starting to coalesce, and this is how it’s shaping up to my eyes. I’m looking forward to reading alternative theories in the comments.

Proposition 1: SA uses witches to perform magic, but she hates werewolves.

Propositon 2: RE uses werewolves to shore up his power, but he is prejudiced against witches.

Proposition 3: Hallow’s coven of werewitches are an abomination to both SA & RE, identifying them with the ‘blaspheming Jew.’

Proposition 4: Ludis is Hallow’s spy in the palace.

Propostion 5: Hallow sent Yvetta to spy on Eric after Ludis reported that he was the distributor for SA’s V operation.

Proposition 6: The werewitches are threatened by the V operation and believe it is being used to hunt them (as evidenced by SA’s wolf jacket)  and/or they plotting to take it over.

Proposition 7: SA & RE will form an alliance to exterminate the werewitches.

Preposition 8: They will put Bill in charge of the operation, which will consume a great deal of his time s4.

Proposition 9: Bill will use Eric’s disappearance as the excuse to start the war against the werewitches. (I believe Bill and Sookie will still be together for most of s4, so either Sookie will be hiding Eric from Bill or Bill will know where Eric really is all along.)

Proposition 10: The yew (and its wolfsangel rune) is important to Russel as a Druidic symbol of death and rebirth and to Hallow for its use in witchcraft.

Proposition 11: As Mercury/Hermes, RE is a teacher as well as a trickerster. Hallow’s coven and all her yew named followers started out as members of RE’s werewolf pack, where they learned what V could do for them.

Proposition 12: When RE discovered there were werewolves practicing witchcraft in his pack, he started eliminating them.

Proposition 13: The core of  Hallow’s coven is the remnants who were able to escape.

Proposition 14: Hallow’s coven  infiltrated FOTS after the Great Revelation by having coven member Yvette seduce and marry Theordore Newlin.

Preposition 15: Hallow is playing two enemies against each other by having the FOTS targeting vampires. It is pay back against humans for earlier witch hunts and to distract and reduce the threat of vampires against her coven, .

Proposition 16: Hallow means holy, and AB is going to reveal her religious nature through the nature worship behind FOTS’s theology, which she is quite sincere about.

Preposotion 17: The Catherine wheel in the FOTS logo is an instrument of torture used against werewovles transformed into sacred iconography paralleling the history of the cross.

Proposition 18: Hallow will want to use Eric’s blood to fuel the coven and his gracious plenty for sex magic.

Proposition 19: Yvetta will give Eric a pair of charmed red bikini underpants, which will set off Hallow’s curse.

Proposition 20: The curse will not be for Eric to be near his heart’s desire, but it will somehow result in his loss of memory.
