As I was saying in the prior spec. thread, your list of car registration expiration dates makes it pretty clear the missing year occurred between seasons 1 and 2. It’s looking more and more like the ‘time jump’ will be more like a realignment or readjustment in Sookie’s sense of time. We’ll just have to wait for all the evidence to come in s4 to figure out how and why this happens, but so far it does seem like Bill is the one with a motive to make her think she’s lost time recently rather than earlier.

      May 28, 2011 at 10:58 am

Could the loss of time in ’09 be considered an experiment by Bill to find out how long it can be sustained? I’m unsure of his motive for that length of time.

2009 is definitely notable for its absense. Also, updating tags to 2010 in a series that’s supposed to still be 2008 mekes no sense. I’m VERY curious to see the s4 tags.

Tara’s comment about MA & Eggs to Laff in his car after he saves her strikes me as more significant now that you mention ’09 missing.
Paraphrasing: That whole time I was a zombie. I thought I had found someone who loved me.

I got a kick out of Pam and Nan in some of those caps. Nan with the head phones and Pam in her little Chanel suit with a microphone on the suit.
Is Nan interrogating someone? Is Pam doing a promo for mainstreaming?

    • Renée says:
      May 28, 2011 at 11:20 am

I’m not seeing Nan or Pam’s suit. What am I missing?

The Vault has some caps as well as skarsgardfans (this past week)

Interesting! Pam is showing her true colors through her wardrobe, but I’m sure her message will be completely at odds with her true nature. LOL!

I think those are from Nan directing the ‘no hate’ PSA’s?

      • Bobsgran says:
        May 28, 2011 at 11:36 am

Oh right. Forgot about the PSA’s

        • Bobsgran says:
          May 28, 2011 at 11:37 am

Maybe that’s why Pam looks like she sucking a lemon. lol

          • sunny says:
            May 28, 2011 at 11:39 am

Hee hee. I love it when Pam is not amused. Actually, I also love it when she IS amused. Oh hell, I just love her no matter what she’s doing.

I know. How fabulous is she crawling on Sookie’s rug?

I can’t help but think that scene somehow goes with the one of Eric saying he wants everything from Sookie.

              • sunny says:
                May 28, 2011 at 12:13 pm

I can’t figure out what the hell is going on with the rug crawling but I agree on her fabulosity.

    WOW. Thank you very much.

I searched on web for 2 days and could not find an answer.

F*ck! Lady Manson switched out all their screencaps for Hi-rez, so all their old URLs are invalid now. Sorry about all those dead links in my previous post.

There is no telling how many I’ve posted! I feel no desire to go back and correct them either. It’s seriously going to screw with our archives if we don’t though. :(

Lady Manson is working. It’s Daydreaming/Black Celebration that isn’t. They are the ones who went Hi-rez.

i like the Tree of knowlege idea/ “ambrosia”.. it seems like AB is going down this path with Faeland..

i’m wondering how much of DR will AB play with??

since Claudine was thanking everyone ( The Fae are stronger togather) that is what Claude & Dermot told Sookie in DR..

anyway , so in s4 Eric is NOW telling Sookie she is his..LOL !! “Vampires wrote the book on possessive” Sookie say’s in the books…

                • IATM says:
                  May 30, 2011 at 5:57 am

“V” can heal & it can be a mind altering drug & a Aphrdisiac.. the Fae blood is an Aphrodisiac Only to the Supe Community.. Humans arent effected by Sookie’s scent or blood.. plus regular humans think Sookie’s Telepathy is weird so they arent interested…

i cant wait to find out why Queen Mab is pissed off?? i still wonder if the Pure Fae brought all the Hybirds there to close the portal because a Vampire intruded on one of the portals??

i think it’s safe to assume that the picture that has Claudine with a bruise on her forehead is not in epi 1/s4.. so Claudine must have had a fight with a vamp later ?? or something is up??

it also looks like AB is mixing up Mythology.. i hope the s3 DVD explains how Billy knew Claudine’s name?? or s4 will explain it.. maybe Sookie should have bit into the fruit so she could start asking more questions??

A fight does break out in faeland with Sookie using the glow hand again. Maybe that’s when Claudine gets conked on the head.

oh, i didnt see the fight in Faeland..LOL !

okay so a fight in Faeland, hummm… yea Maybe Claudine get’s hit there?? but i thought in the picture’s of Claudine & her bruise on the head looked like it was in a dark place ( or dark background)??

have we ever seen Faeland Dark?? i dont recall we have, Faeland is always summery & bright .. IDK, if Faeland even changes seasons if it is suppose to represent some sort of heaven…

If Claudine gets hurt at this point, she could still be bruised when she returns Sookie home.

Thanks Makes me wonder why a fight is breaking out in Faeland?? did Billy show up agian?? ROTFL !!

but i agree, Claudine could still have the bruise on her head later..

The photo of Claudine with a buise on her head looks like the scene in the cemetery when she reached out her hand to Sookie.

it does look like that could be the same Claudine picking up from s3 Charm :-)

maybe Claudine & Billy had a real fight that we arent privy to yet?? which will help with the name thing.. i just hope AB doesnt do something corny like Claudine telling Billy her name…**shake head**

maybe epi 1/ s4 will pick up from B/QSA fight.. & also go into the Claudine & Billy stuff before they left to Faeland.. maybe epi 1/s4 is doing alot of backtracking before the 1 yr. jump occur’s.. that would be awsome .. & help fill in alot of gaps..

Nah. It was the other hand I think and there was no bruising on in the last S3 shot.

                      May 30, 2011 at 8:41 am

The same thing happened with Sookie in the promos from last year. We saw her holding out the opposite hand from the one she held out in the actual episode. This happens a lot between promos and eps.

                    • sunny says:
                      May 30, 2011 at 8:43 am

Not that I don’t think this snip of her is from an ep in season 4. It’s just interesting that Claudine is in the same pose as she was in the finale, and in the dark.

I don’t see the bruising in this cap. Perhaps the earlier one was bad quality? In any case, Claudine looks worried.

AB said alot of stuff “After The episodes” in s3..

in fact what was AB’s Thank You message??

he said something about us finding out where Sookie went & what happens to the people who go there ( Billy walking on water in the portal) & what happens to ppl who love Sookie”.. i have to re-watch the video agian..

but i remember him saying something about the Fae in s3 Channeling Nature or energy or something…

Maybe the bruise on Claudine occur’s later on ..??

Enlarged it is there as well although more shaded than a cap elsewhere, I think skarsgadfans.
For some reason this cap made me jump to the conclusion that AE will happen as speculated by you and Renee in ep. 4 rather than 2.

AE in bloody Henley was from ep.10 and I think that would be an awfully long arc from ep. 2. Open to revision if more spoilers show different. :)

well Sookie still dated Billy all the way till the very end of s3.. the MA plot lasted all the way till the very end of s2 & Rene’s serial killer plot lasted all the way till the very end of s1..

why would AE not last till epi 12 & then AB plans to have the audience wonder if Eric remember’s “anything” that occured while he had amnesia??

Billy got kindnaped in s2 fianle & in s3 that plot lasted till mid season of s3…

i think Eric catches amnesia in epi 2 , but it will be at the end of the epi, or near the end of the epi..

There is still the problem of those effed up clapboards. AE is shown in scene 39, but in the very next scene, 40, he’s real Eric speaking to Bill about the witches. And we STILL don’t have a title for ep 2, which feels like a clue to me.

i know what you mean Charm.. right now i’m just crossing my finger’s waiting for the epi title to come out..

maybe AB hasent released it yet because it deals with AE getting cursed???

if Eric get’s cursed torwards the end of epi 2 then going into epi 3 Sookie finds him wandering BT?? & we go from there i guess..

Here is a thought.. if Eric’s curse get’s lifted before epi 12 That means the witch war took place already i guess?? if this is suppose to be epi 10/s4 then epi 11 & 12 are about what?? we are done with the 2 major plots in s4 (Amnesia Eric & the witch war)..

one of the Biggest Mysteries/Clues in DTTW was about what Eric remembered about that time he spent with Sookie..

something has to occur in s4 that carries Eric’s plot forward to s5..

The extras for the WW were called up for ep 7 and 8 or 8 and 9. I don’t recall.

It looks to me like the end of the season might focus on vampire politics, which could lead into Rhodes next season if AB skips Bk 5 and 6.

That clapboard issue makes my eyes glaze over much the same way the time-line does. I guess we just have to wait and see. Not too much longer.

Lol, I know what you mean. I had to google to figure it out myself.

The clapperboards tell us both AE and Real Eric speaking with Bill about the witches occurs in ep 2. (supposedly) The problem is, AE is scene 39 and Real Eric is scene 40. The scene numbers on the clapperboards are important because even though the scenes might be filmed out of sequence, the editor needs to know the correct sequence in which to place the scenes in the finished print. It’s impossible to believe Real Eric is in the very next scene after we see AE stumbling down the road.

I think I got it. It’s in the editing. How the heck do they keep it all straight?

                    • sunny says:
                      May 30, 2011 at 9:38 am

Exactly, the clapperboards are how they keep it all straight. Without the system of scene numbering on the boards, a director or somebody would have to hold the editors hand throughout the entire editing process. With the boards, the editor has a built in system telling him exactly where to place which scene.

AB admitted last yr. that he likes to throw the bookies off & he makes up spoiler’s.. All the bookies are expecting AE in s4..

AE IS coming in season 4. But there has to be a purpose in deliberately throwing us off exactly what ep AE happens. What that purpose is, I have no idea.

plus it looks like Sookie has a portal on her proberty as well?? that damn tree??

but yea, AB totaly likes to fuck with us.. & sometimes it’s just a shake head moment because he doesnt want us bookies to know every angle he is going with his version of the story..

i mean we bookies never visited Faeland in the books anyway.. so i know i didnt have a clue where AB was going with this entire plot.. i think it’s corny, but i think the end result will be sort of the same that CH did.. Sookie’s Telepathy didnt come from being a Hybird Fae.. it came from Mr. C ( in the books)..

on TB Sookie’s Hand Glo doesnt come from being a Hybird, therefore she remains 1/8 on TB still & she borrows Claudines gift when Claudine is channeling through Sookie are when she is simply around & we dont know it..

i kinda like the fact that “V” isnt bringing out someones inner talents..

The demons are part of the fairies race. There are sky fairies, water fairies, elves, angles, and demons. According to CH world. Mr. C is part of the fairy race but different culture.

Related to fairies, but no the same. Mr. C is telepathic. CH’s fairies aren’t.

yea since AB made Sookie’s Telepathy come from the Pure Fae & her Hand glow doesnt?? do you think he is making Sookie more then the 1/8 Fae that she was in the books??

it appears that she is still 1/8 Fae same as Jason .. even though Jason becomes a Hybird Panther in the books as an added addition..

Why do you think her hand-glow power doesn’t come from being Fae? AB said the Fae are deeply connected to nature and Sookie’s hand power comes from ‘channeling nature’.

okay i couldnt remember what AB said in that message word for word..

but from what Anna posted about the s3 DVD it sounds like Claudine is channeling through Sookie to use that Hand glo?? or maybe i misunderstood ?? clarity please?? i dont have my s3 DVD yet so i’m going off what was posted this far..

The DVD says Claudine helped Sookie three times: with the chain in 1.01 and the two times she used her hand.

Right, so Sookie used her hand glo in s2 during the MA stuff.. Sookie used her hand glo in s3 at Alcides apartment & she used it agian in the s3 situation on Russell..

Maybe Claudine represents “Nature”?? i mean Sookie isnt a Pure Fae so maybe the Hybirds can only channel through that way?? or Maybe since Claudine is really related tpo Sookie in the first place it runs deeper?? i mean Claudine is Sookie’s first cousin anyway.. so the blood line would be closer??

i mean we havent seen Hunter or Barry use the Hand Glow .. & from that clip Barry has his own Fairy God Father **giggle**

but maybe Barry isnt in trouble as much as Sookie has been?? or Barry isnt drinking “V” either from what we seen this far.. Barry simply only has the Telepathy…

I suppose you could equate the Fae with ‘mother nature’. But in the promo it looks to me like she’s throwing her hand fire at someone either without anyone’s consent or help–looks like they’re holding her back–OR they’re teaching her how to control and direct the power, in which case how do she control a power that is not hers alone to begin with?

                      May 30, 2011 at 11:33 am

well if it is her’s ( the power) maybe Claudine was channeling Sookie’s aim?? i mean when Sookie did use the power in s2 & in s3 it just sort of came out?? so maybe what AB is really trying to convey is that Claudine helped channel Sookie’s real inner power?? that works as well IMO.. i mean if it is Sookie’s real inner power being a Hybird then she needs to learn how to control & use it at whim.. & maybe through Claudine she was helping Sookie along with that aim??

                    • IATM says:

But Barry & Hunter should have this inner built power as well… & we havent seen either of them use it as of yet, but that doesnt mean they dont have it ya know??

I always assumed the glow hand power was activated by Eric’s powerful old blood. Barry and Hunter haven’t had that advantage. However, the Eric blood theory is moot if the power doesn’t come from Sookie in the first place.

Right any “V” is moot that any power comes from drinking “V”.. if AB is trying to convey that Claudine is the reason Sookie has that Glo power..

Laffy’s power occured after drinking a source of bottled up “V” it appeared.. Laffy in s3 said alot “The Blood Lies” .. we dont even know who’s “V” was in the tubes Laffy was selling..

Hey Anna is that on the s3 DVD???

                      Like for example :

we know “V” heals humans & Supes.. it didnt bring Sookie back to life when she was in that coma i think the water did that Claudine gave Sookie in the hospital… Bill simply wasnted reconect with Sookie through the blood bond when he gave Sookie more blood in that hospital scene IMO..

Sookie in the books her relatives were sky fairies and her relatives who try to kill her were the water fairies. What CH did saying her post that the demons were part of the fairies race. Each race of the fairies have different powers.

i understand the book version LLE,

& so far AB hasent established the difference between water & sky Fae on TB..

in s3 all the Fae went through a water portal of some kind & Claudine told Sookie the pond is bigger then it looks.. maybe the pond divides up the water & sky Fae??

or maybe the water & Sky fae arent divided at this point yet on the show??

in the books the only reason they became divided was because Niall’s brother wanted to close the portals from the Fae world to the human world..

Maybe that is Queen Mabs role on TB & this starts the war between the Fae…

Sookie meeting Quinn & the 2 vamps & Sam & Alcide.. that will be a crowed s5 picture with Sookie & all her suiter’s on it.. even if they leave Sam out of the picture.. because he hasent been in one next to Sookie grabing anything as a real suiter..

While TB season 5 might incorporate some of the elements and characters from books 5 and beyond it wouldn’t surprise me if it goes off mainly on it’s own tangent.

anyway, if AB does spin off on his own story in s5 IDK what to say to that.. it might work or it might just be BLAH ! have alot of folks **scratching heads**

Sam’s story this far typically has little to do with Sookie really.. so if AB plans to place Sammy in the running for Sookie’s affection it seems like he needs to be more of the story that involves Sookie.. like he placed Sammy in s2..

IDK, because Tara is looking at Sam in the poster kinda funny style..

okay i seen the new Promo,, & all i have to say is interesting.. over on http://skarsgardfans.com/home/

they have something about epi 2/s4 up :

“4.03: Episode #39: “If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin’?”: Sookie makes a deal with Eric, and reconnects with Alcide; Bill punishes an errant vampire and counsels a guilt-ridden Jessica; Jason is cast as a reluctant savior; Tommy eyes a scam and alienates Sam; Marnie flexes her newfound powers; Pam delivers an ultimatum to Lafayette, Tara and Jesus; Eric spoils Sookie’s faerie reunion. (Written by Alan Ball; directed by David Petrarca.) July 10, 12, 13, 14 and 16″

so Pammy is giving folks Ultimatum’s by epi 3 it looks like..

out of all the new promo pictures this week IMO it looks like a dream that Sookie might be having when Eric/ AE bites her?? how is Eric stiping a Fae reunion with Sookie??

I believe we’re going to disagree IATM on who bites her. I agree that it could be a dream she is having, but I think (hope) it’s Bill.

Maybe it is Billy?? it just looks like a dream scene from the background to me.. but it could just be that it’s night time?? i mean why is Billy in her house at night time when Sookie is in bed?? that is why i think it’s a dream.. plus the Godric & AE photo has the same backgroung.. AB said that Vamps can dream as well.. so it could be an AE/Eric dream?? but Sookie is doing her famous scream..

Thinking about how tricky AB can be, it would be just like him to throw a stink bomb into the works and it is Eric, in a dream I hope.

Considering what occured in DR i wouldnt put it past AB to pass up on a Eric bite scene .. you know what i mean? plus the fact that Sookie’s trauma consists of Billy draining her 1 year ago & Eric & Russell biting her involuntary in s3 because she was the “Ultimate Vampire Dream” being “vampire crack” & all..**snort**

if it is a dream then it could be either AE’s because Godric is there or Sookie’s?? but i cant think of a reason why Sookie would be seeing or thinking of Godric?? so i’m thinking it might be AE’s hungry dream (maybe Godric is telling him to bite)?? remember AB said we will get a different side of Godric in s4.. this is the Godric that taught Eric is who i suspect to meet in s4..

                      ooooh, i just had a thought :

would if that is AE watching Sookie sleep the first night at her house after she found him on the road?? & he was having a fantasy of biting her ( with Godric there) & Sookie wakes up doing her famous scream?? since she pretty much must have decided to keep AE since they make a deal with eachother.. i wonder if the deal is getting her house back?? or the $50,000 ??

Excatly, he doesnt really bite her..

unless, this scene Is Eric’s equivalent to Bill in the back of the van? *rolls eyes*

but Sookie still decides to keep AE for something ( either her house or the cash)…

I must admit, it makes me laugh thinking a vampire with amnesia has a better nature when it comes to dining on a human.

HA ! IDK if it’s a “better Nature”.. Sookie screams at pretty much everything.. the fact that it’s yet another involuntary bite move ( same as s3 when Eric bit her with Russell).. so Sookie is going to scream everytime Eric bites her on TB?? & she lets Billy bite her after a draining in the shower?? seems shadey to me( i mean i know AB has said time & time agian that Billy & Sookie are soul mates) but it’s a little silly on her part to keep a vampire with amnesia in her house if he did bite her like that while she lay sleep in her bed..

this is why i hope & think it’s a dream scene by Eric..

Unlike Bill, Eric doesn’t seem interested in feeding and sexing at the same time. It’s like eating a chicken leg in the middle of having intercourse lol. Gross.

Anyhoo, Sookie is in the habit of while she’s dreaming of Eric he goes in for an aggressive bite and she wakes up just before it happens. This might be a dream in which he actually chows down before she wakes up.

Only during sex was the bites pleasurable to Sookie.. & in fact on TB they have shown this actually with her facial expressions when Billy bit her wrist in s2 & when she get’s bit on other occassions.. but when Sookie & Billy were having sex she was okay with all the blood exchanges.. even Billy spitting blood in her mouth..

i have been pondering about this Charm…

i wonder if King Billy told Sookie about something related to him killing QSA or vampire Politics?? whatever he tells her he wants it to remain a secret.. like the only person she told UB molested her was Billy.. ( even book Eric still doesnt know about that stuff).. so anyway Billy tell’s her not to tell anybody & Sookie response must have been ” when have i ever given you a reason not to trust me”..

so AB is showing that Billy & Sookie share personal secrets with eachother?? i guess to further build on the “soul Mate” analogy??

This is a stab in the dark. Bill being able to enter her dreams, perhaps he has knowledge of her feelings for Eric. We saw Lorena enter her dream in 2.09, it may have been a metaphor for Bill.

I totally think Bill is able to ‘view’, for lack of a better word, Sookie’s dreams of Eric. (or any of her dreams for that matter) Bill knows her Eric dreams are about more than sex, that they portray an emotional connection.

see this is part of the shared dreams right?? Lorena was in Sookie’s dream in s2.. so if Billy is capable of entering Sookie’s dreams on a whim then this will just continue for furture seasons..

Oh yes, it will continue only Sookie doesn’t understand the extent to which Bill can invade her psyche. Even if she DID understand it I don’t know what she could do about it short of staking him.

TB Sookie is beyond snarky at this point.. we have a chick that is still in love with her ex, flirting with the wolf & sleeps with an amnesia Viking Sheriff because oh yea, she has a connection to him.. LOL !!

Here is my speculation on the Say No to Hate rally Nan and Bill seemed to have cooked up–I think they plan on bombing the place and blaming it on the FoTS (or they might even be in on it with the FoTS or elements of it’s power structure, ie Newlin)or the Witches.

False Flag attack: False flag (aka Black Flag) operations are covert operations designed to deceive the public in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by other entities. The name is derived from the military concept of flying false colors; that is flying the flag of a country other than one’s own. False flag operations are not limited to war and counter-insurgency operations, and can be used in peace-time.

While false flag operations originate in warfare and government, they also can occur in civilian settings among certain factions, such as businesses, special interest groups, religions, political ideologies and campaigns for office.

“False flag terrorism” occurs when elements within a government stage a secret operation whereby government forces pretend to be a targeted enemy while attacking their own forces or people. The attack is then falsely blamed on the enemy in order to justify going to war against that enemy.

It’s the same concept that a lot of conspiracy theorists use to explain what happened on 911. I’m not saying AB believes in these conspiracies–and I’m not saying he doesn’t–but I wouldn’t put it past him to put it to use. After all, ‘The Shock Doctrine’ lays out the reasoning for carrying out such ‘false flag’ terror attacks.

so the witches kinda interfer with the vamps plans?? i mean while Nan & Billy or working on this False Flag plan & Nan already told Billy no bodies ( so Billy has to make sure the death count is low ).. AE running loose in a town is a problem for Billy.. which is why he get’s involved with the witches …??

                    • sunny says:

“No dead humans” implies to me that the death count has to only include vampires so that the human public will sympathize and support punitive action against whatever human agency is supposedly responsible for the attack. I don’t know if the witches will interfere with these plans or if they help facilitate them in exchange for some kind of concessions from the vampire hierarchy. Bill pulling in witches and punishing them implies he’s on a witch hunt so a deal might be struck between the vamps and witches to end the strife.

Yea, of course he will.. & i expect that as well.. but one of the spoiler’s say that Bill get’s involved with the witches..

if Billy wants Eric to remain a Sheriff after his curse then as King he has to deal with the situation & frankly charge Eric when the curse is lifted for crimes.. Billy wouldnt want to charge AE because it looks like AE is the one chocking him & he has to swear fealty to Billy..

We KNOW he’s involved with the witches because we’ve already seen clips of him feeding off Daisy, the witch who goes to Fangtasia with a message. I am 99% certain that Bill will be behind the curse so that he can’t interfere with Bill’s power grab and attendant hunt for Fae blood.

i guess s4/s5 with Billy as a King is just bewildering to me.. i hope Billy is the one who got Marnie to curse Eric.. i like that theory & hope it pans out.. i mean Billy called Regular Eric to the house to talk about the new witches coven & the inquisition.. so i can see it as a set up… Eric goes busting in & doing his thing, Marnie get’s pissed & decides to curse his ass..

i’m curious what the curse will be on TB?? we know it’s amnesia but the meaning of the curse?? i wonder if AB is keeping it the same “Eric’s Hearts Desire”??

i still like your theory on the fact that Billy mimicked QSA’s voice or something..

HA, Billy & Sookie can mimick voices on TB ( she mimicks the way Billy say’s her name & he mimicks Eric’s)..

Lotus eating floated through my head too at one point. The ancient Egyptians used the Blue Lotus in ritual and its image is found in tomb paintings so it can be associated with the afterlife and rebirth.
“The mildly sedating effects of Nymphaea caerulea makes it a likely candidate (among several) for the lotus plant eaten by the mythical Lotophagi in Homer’s Odyssey.”

I HAVE to buy The Bond Code because of this quote in the article:

Overall the basics of the fairy tale are the basics of storytelling, and Fleming’s Bond novels are fairy tales overlaid with Fleming’s life and expertise. Gardiner’s approach to analyzing Fleming and his famous character can be used to explicate umpteen other adventure novels

Ha! Look what I stumbled across last week. It’s fresh off WordPress.

“Jack Zipes has suggested that “Snow White” is about female competition (133-136). The locus of the struggle is physical appearance and, by metonymy, erotic appeal of the (step)mother and daughter. Certainly Arthur Rackham’s illustration of the magic mirror suggests that’s what the story is about, as have many other retellings.

But, as my friend irreverently recently asked, what if it isn’t? What happens to the tale if that’s not the point?

There’s a fascinating hint in the first paragraph:

If only I had a child as white as snow, as red as blood, and as black as the wood in this frame.”

Barely controlled anger. Widened eyes, clenched jaw..Overwrought possessiveness/. I just doesn’t sound like how Eric would approach this. I can see him trying to reason with her about why it would be a good idea for him to ‘claim’ her for her own safety but not this…pronouncement, seemingly against her own wishes.

          • Renée says:
            May 29, 2011 at 5:00 pm

It is out of character for him. What if he knows the witches are in town at this point and he’s trying to protect Sookie from them by claiming her? It would parallel 1.03 when Bill claimed Sookie in front of the terrible trio.

The scene upstairs could be all a show for someone downstairs listening in. Pam could be trying to sneak up on the spy by crawling across the floor for some reason. Maybe she’s doing that at vamp speed.

            • sunny says:
              May 29, 2011 at 5:10 pm

Isn’t a vamp claiming a human (or in this case, a half-fae) only for the purpose of keeping other vamps from feeding off them? I can’t see how Eric claiming Sookie would protect her from witches, especially considering vamps can’t even protect themselves from witches. (that is, if the vamp has no idea HOW to protect themselves)

              • Renée says:
                May 29, 2011 at 5:13 pm

It also could be to warn away others away–”Mess with her, and you mess with me.” Of course, at that point, Eric wouldn’t know that’s exactly what Hallow intends to do.

Oh, I just watched the promo at Askars Swedish Meatballs. Whassup with Eric declaring You. Are. Mine.? And why is Sookie even giving Bill the time of day and lamenting about his shitty surprises? Bitch needs to stay far away from the vamp who had her beaten to within an inch of her life, not skipping over for visits.

                  Shitty surprises sounds promising.

Earl meets his grown up granddaughter.
Bill meets his grown up great great great granddaughter.

Earl is going to save Sookie. I wonder if Bill will save the Bellefluers financially or just screw them.

Have you Noticed that none of the full fairies eat the fruit, they only have glowing drinks.

The fairies drink the light, and the hybrids eat the fruit. Are they called lumieres? I can’t hear very well.

Sookie’s aversion to eating food is going to come in handy in FL.

The translation for lumière is light. It’s probably just a coincidence that the Lumière brothers were among the earliest film makers.

There is something definitely creepy about that place.

It comes in right at the end. I might be mistaken but it sounds exactly the same to me as the soundtrack when the kitchen chairs started dancing in s1.

Gotcha. It’s that Twilight Zone music again. It played when Gran was talking about Uncle Frances.

I find it interesting that Earl’s middle name is also Frances and there is also one in the Stackhouse family tree.

          • Renée says:
            May 29, 2011 at 9:01 pm

Much better. Thanks for the link. Daisy (or whatever her new name is) and Bill aren’t in his study. That’s a new room we haven’t seen. I thought it was the living room, but when Sookie stands in the doorway, I don’t think the layout is right.

It is Nan in the alley in the flashback, and with bared fangs. We haven’t seen that before. There’s a website somewhere with a photo of a young woman running down that alley. Did Nan save someone from Bill?

Now I’m even more sure that Eric’s declaration to Sookie is for someone else’s benefit. They are being watched. That scene reminds me of when Eric told Sookie to invite him in because the were was in the house. I don’t care, though. It still makes me tingly. ;)

            • sunny says:
              May 30, 2011 at 8:20 am

In these screencaps, does it look like Sookie is standing outside on the porch and Bill is INSIDE her house?

              http://skarsgardfans.com/2011/05/29/true-blood-season-4-breaking-up-sucks-video-promo/

I guess it could be his house but in the prior promo, the one where it looks like Bill is grabbing Sookie, they’re in these same clothes and it definitely looks like her porch.

          • Renée says:
            May 29, 2011 at 9:18 pm

Lloyd’s pectoral is something else, too.

  10. anna says:
    May 29, 2011 at 11:28 am

The extra on the scene when the water is dripping on to Bill and he goes to Fairyland says that Bill got there even though he wasn’t invited.
Sookie was also protect three times by Claudine/the Fae, through the chain wrapping itself around her attacker’s neck and the two glowing hand incidents.
Bill often looks even more creepy in high definition.

    • Renée says:
      May 29, 2011 at 1:30 pm

That’s interesting info, anna! So the day glo hand isn’t Sookie’s own power?

Do you already have the S3 DVDs? Bill in that screen test is the creepiest thing I’ve seen in a long time.

      • anna says:
        May 29, 2011 at 1:53 pm

I think the flashbacks are shown when Claudine is replying to Bill’s accusation about Sookie not being protected, so probably.
I’ve just got the DVDs and some of the extras I’ve watched so far seem to back up what everyone’s been discussing over the last few months.
There’s a lot to take in and I’m dipping in and out but I could probably do some transcribing of comments etc for a particular episode or scene if anyone would like me to.
AB and Denis O’Hare have a great time commenting on Ep 6.
Is anyone else getting the DVDs?

        • Renée says:
          May 29, 2011 at 2:01 pm

Osterby volunteered to be on the transcription crew with me again this year, and we’d love some help. She’s going to start with ep. 6.

If you want to do ep. 1, that would be great! Last year we transcribed the Blu-ray features and just made notes for the commentaries since so much of that is fluff.

I’ll start with whichever eps are on disc 2 when my set arrives on Tuesday.

          • anna says:
            May 29, 2011 at 2:16 pm

Ep 6 is a good place to start, it’s the first one I watched! There’s also a reference to LTROI in that episode.

I’m happy to do ep 1 as I haven’t watched it yet and I’ll see how it goes. The FYI comments are easy, it’s the talking heads that will take more time.

            • osterby says:
              May 29, 2011 at 8:16 pm

Anna, I have one word of advice for transcribing….subtitles.

              • anna says:
                May 30, 2011 at 8:39 am

Thanks Osterby! I did try that but unfortunately I don’t seem to be able to get any subtitles to show up for the talking heads.

                • Renée says:
                  May 30, 2011 at 9:18 am

That’s one of the reasons we didn’t do transcriptions for the commentaries in the past, just notes. A lot of talk can be boiled down to a few bits of key info.

      • IATM says:
        May 29, 2011 at 11:59 pm

i’m sort of glad that the glo hands arent Sookie’s own powers & that Claudine has been letting Sookie sort of borrow her power.. maybe the Glo Hand is a Pure Fae gift Only.. maybe this means or at least i think it means that Eric’s blood had nothing to do with bringing out Sookie’s powers.. & Laffy’s power’s seem to be very similar to Sookie’s..

Laffy said alot in s3 “The Blood Lies” he was talking about “V” ..

Peaches. Grandpa Earle gives her a peach 20 yrs. past.
Weren’t there lots of posters in S1 Merlotte’s of peaches?

I really have to wonder if Barry JUST got there too. He may be there so she feels comfortable seeing someone she knows. Wherever “there”really is. ‘There’ is creepy.

    • Renée says:
      May 29, 2011 at 4:29 pm

Face palm! S3 those peaches were still at Merlotte’s. Hoyt stood in front of a few when he talked to Jess while Summer was in the ladies.

If Earl thinks he just been there a week, Barry could have been there for all of S3. I read something a couple months ago that said he eventually returned back to work after the Bon Temps crew left. I need to track down where that came from, though. It was on something ‘official,’ not fan fiction.

      • Bobsgran says:

S2 gray jacket and black shirt

S4 black jacket and gray shirt
      http://s1002.photobucket.com/albums/af142/ancientpythoness/True%20Blood/?action=view&current=Barry.jpg

Why? What is the significance? Does it indicate Barry is still stuck in the black alchemical stage? Sookie wore summer clothes well into the fall, and Barry wore fall clothes at the height of the Texas summer.

yea the 1 year jump helps with the cleansing situation.. since in the books it was noted that if Sookie doesnt exchange in a while the bond stays but it fades over time.. it’s been about 1.5 yrs in the books since S/B exchabged blood with eachother..

maybe this answer’s some of our past questions about Billy still having access to the portal… maybe he needs Sookie to keep exchanging blood with him to be able to enter in the first place.. ??

To me, the reaction reminded me of the drugtheme of this season, like the fruit gives you some kind of high (like ‘V’) that make it hard to resist….and with all kind of nasty side effects…..

There is a thin line between being crazy and genious. For me, it all depends on how E/S are being portrayed this season. Sure hoping for some ‘happy moments’ there ;)

plus all the Supes are addicted to Sookie’s scent or blood anyway.. so she is the emphany of a walking Aphrodisiac ( either by smell or taste)..

Alcide took a good **sniff** on Sookie’s porch in s3.. Sam is smitten by Sookie by smell & the vamps like her blood.. of course Sookie only see’s herself as “Vampire Crack” in regards to the vamps.. it never crosses her mind about her scent.. it’s the same way in the books.. i guess Sookie thinks the were animals just like her because she is so darn goodlooking & humans dont give her the time of day **snort**

Didnt AB already say that the Fae can channel energy?? i thought he said that during s3 in one of the after the episodes gig??

if the Fae can channel ebergy then why not there own?? Claudine can channel her Hand flash weapon through Sookie since she is her Fairy God Mother.. but it’s not Sookie’s own power which explains why Sookie in s4 doesnt learn how to use the power all the way..

We’ve been talking about the fruit at SVB. It reminds me of the Greek myth of the lotus eaters. What Earl says about just seeing Sookie last week, and Sookie saying that it was 20 years ago seems to be a confirmation that time passes differently in fae land. Perhaps the fruit keeps the abductees sedate and blissfully unaware of time passing.

There is a cool idea floating around that Eric must have bought Sookie’s house in s4 since she has been gone for a year..

if this idea pans out that will be pretty cool IMO.. Eric can give Sookie the deed to her house back after the curse if lifted ..instead of giving her the $50,000 she got in DTTW for babysitting AE…

    • Krtmd says:
      May 30, 2011 at 6:44 am

The downside to this is that if Eric owns the house, then vamps don’t need an invitation to enter. Franklin told us that in S3. It might explain how Eric manages to surprise Sookie fresh out of the shower in that promo clip, but it will make it harder for her to protect AE if vamps can enter her house without invitation.

I also figure, at least before the curse, that Eric didn’t just buy Sookie’s house solely out of the goodness of his own heart. He’s often got more than one motive, right?

      • IATM says:
        May 30, 2011 at 7:04 am

Right Krtmd, Eric always has more then 1 motive..

but who in the world is after Sookie in s4?? so far the only vamps that we know KNOW Sookie is Eric,Pam,Bill,QSA ( possibly Andre since he is QSA’s progeny), Russell, Isabel, ( TX Vamps)..

there was a picture of some strange vamps in Sookie’s house earlier.. on the steps a male & a female.. so Eric could have rented the house out to them & then Sookie returns & maybe runs to Billy’s house?? or she tries to uninvite them in & it doesnt work..

but i think if Eric ownes the house giving her back the deed to her house is more valuable then the $50,000 on TB.. since the $50,000 was valuable in the books..

plus it looks like AB is placing Faeland up high like Mt. Olympus..

    • sunny says:

IOW, FL has been DARK ever since Bill gained access. In the finale, the chandelier–artificial light—was the only lighting. Now in FL we don’t have any actual sunlight but some sort of strange, artificially lighted netherworld. Very unlike the natural surroundings when Sookie took her trip in the hospital.

  21. IATM says:
    May 30, 2011 at 9:34 am

i’m pretty sure the finished print will come out the way AB wants it shown..

i think someone over here on this site speculated a while ago that maybe Billy cursed Eric?? or Billy got the witches to curse Eric?? whomever idea that was i like it :-)

& i think it’s even more possible NOW.. at first didnt make a comment on the idea because i wasent sure if AB would go there & then have Billy work with Eric torwards the end to break the curse?? but now it seems more & more likely the more info we get.. plus Sookie will be around so it is typical Billy in front of Sookie to act like he is helping Eric..since he didnt help Tara & Sookie already knows this..

i really dont know what to say about the AE #39 scene & Real Eric #40 scene.. i think AE stumbling down the road will occur after he get’s cursed.. because we dont know what scene # Eric bit Marnie?? or what scene # it appears Billy bit into Daisy it looks like from the s4 clip..

thsi is what Anna posted up above :

” The extra on the scene when the water is dripping on to Bill and he goes to Fairyland says that Bill got there even though he wasn’t invited.
Sookie was also protect three times by Claudine/the Fae, through the chain wrapping itself around her attacker’s neck and the two glowing hand incidents.
Bill often looks even more creepy in high definition”.

this alludes to the Glo hand power not being Sookie’s own power.. but it was channeled through Claudines Pure Fae power…

  23. Krtmd says:
    May 30, 2011 at 11:29 am

Perhaps this is how AB can have Claudine help when there are vamps around. In the books, Claudine couldn’t step in to help in situations with vampires since they’d want to drain her. So, in TB Claudine can watch Sookie unseen and channel her power through Sookie to protect her???

    I updated the spoiler page.
    http://www.ancientpythoness.com/spoilers/

There are new faces for some minor roles in the casting section. Of special note: The Duke, an uncredited role in 4.02, a nameless little girl who will appear in 4.09 and 4.10, and a new sheriff who is introduced in 4.09. I’m thinking the new sheriff may be the sarcastic vampire from the flashback of the witch trial.

Here’s what we’ve been told about him — “Cast in a recurring role on an HBO series is Peter Madissi. He will play a vampire sheriff in Louisiana, who harbors a troubled past with ties to the Spanish Inquisition, torture, and the witches that are settling in Bon Temps.”

In the filming section there is a fan photo of AS that shows a bullet hole in the white henley in addition to the blood that was seen earlier in a fan video.

I also added all the new promos and posters.

    And the following news:

AB said one scene was shot in 3D, but doesn’t know if it will air.

Alexander Woo says the primary theme is identity.
    http://truebloodconfidential.blogspot.com/2011/05/saturdays-late-dribbles.html

Jessica Tuck says of Nan: “It would be foolish to think that her efforts were just about making humans and vamps one big happy family,” Tuck tells True Blood’s Nest of Nan’s work to mainstream vampires. “There is an agenda behind her agenda but that is not for me to reveal right now. Stay tuned.”

“All I can say is that Nan and Bill have a history,” she says. “Details of that history will be revealed in Season 4. If I say anything more than that, I’ll get myself in trouble.”

“Relationships between the characters get much more complicated and redefined,” Tuck also says. “I love this season – I think there is a lot to sink your teeth into. You won’t be disappointed.”

“Nan is mysterious- even to me. I don’t know how old she is or where she was born. More about Nan is revealed in season 4 but I can’t go into detail without spoiling things for you.”

Someone needs to talk me down off a ledge. There is a blurb from AB on The Vault about S4. He states that Sookie is still feeling heat for Bill. STILL FEELING HEAT? If he goes down that road I swear I’m going to take up a petition to have him castrated. How the hell can a woman still have a thing for a person responsible for having her beaten to near death, plus draining her to near death? That goes beyond any…..I can’t even think what.

Yes, she may not remember everything he has done too her, but dear god in heaven something should trigger alarm bells.

I think there might be a clue in the quote “From the Team Eric, Team Bill viewpoints, one of those teams will be happy, one won’t.” It may partly be a way of keeping the speculation and discussions going until the season starts and beyond.

Sookie’s “still feeling heat WITH Bill and Alcide”, but then Bill tends to use those magic words “I’ll always love you”, “I’ll love you for ever” etc.

I also wonder how TB would handle a story line that involved a character like Lafayette being beaten and drained half to death by his lover, would Lala still feel any heat with that man?

      • sunny says:

I think so, if he’d been as thoroughly manipulated and brain washed as Sookie has by Bill.

I really don’t think it’s a gender issue, or an issue of misogyny on the part of the writers. I think it’s about illustrating a fascist mind-set, fascism being a cult of masculinity/machismo, and how it manifests at the micro as well as the macro level. Even Nan embodies this mind-set.

Has anyone read anything, anywhere, which suggests Sookie’s friends and family will be putting in an effort to find her while she’s supposedly gone for an ENTIRE YEAR? Given the fact that the freaking SHERIFF of Bon Temps is aware that Bill perpetrated an act of domestic violence upon Sookie, why isn’t it at least hinted at that Bill comes under suspicion for her disappearance? Is there any hint that her disappearance is a HUGE SCANDAL given the current atmosphere post RE and her relationship with a vampire? Eric merely thinks that Bill ‘gave up’ on Sookie which suggests to me that HE NEVER SUSPECTED BILL!!!

WHAT IS THIS FUCKERY, I ask ya’ll? LOL.

i havent read anything about it..

but at the end of the day, i guess the point is that since Billy went missing in s3 & Sookie spent half the season looking for him & even asked Eric to help.. which he did & sent Alcide to assist her in her search.. because she told him she helped him look for Look in s2 ( even though he paid her for that job).. **shake head**

i guess the point is that Billy gave up on his Soooka without a search..

      • IATM says:
        June 1, 2011 at 5:40 pm

        oops i meant Godric…

but yea, Eric looks at that as Billy giving up on Sookie .. besides Billy is the only one who has visited the portal & he could have told Jason where he thinks Sookie went since it has been 1 whole year..

      • sunny says:
        June 1, 2011 at 5:48 pm

I don’t give a shit about Billy. He’s a vampire and nobody but Sookie cared where the fuck he was. I’m saying Sookie has people who love her. What about Jason? Tara? Anybody? When Jessica went missing, her parents were all over television asking for information on her whereabouts. Given the circumstances, I can’t imagine it would be hard for Sookie’s brother, a deputy in training no less!, to get on tv and stir up a huge stink about her disappearance especially given her relationship with, and her abuse at the hands of!, a vampire!

How does Billy gaining ANY kind of power, PR position or not, when logically he should be the prime suspect in the disappearance of a human woman????

Forget missing Eric posters, where the hell are the Missing Sookie posters? Any indication whatsoever that anyone is searching for her? Any indication Bill puts HIS life on hold like she did for him when he went missing?

          all that is true Charm..

& so far we havent got anything that even alludes to people looking for Sookie or Billy puting on a search for Sookie or anything… it is almost as if everyone was in their own world the same way Sookie has been for the last 3 seasons.. KARMA !!

Tara left for a year.. Jason is in his own world with Hot Shot & Billy still could have called him & told him something .. Sam must not have put too much into a search party either really.. & Eric is the one dude who she called a piece of shit to 1 year ago & he didnt give up on her?? LOL !!

          • IATM says:
            June 1, 2011 at 5:58 pm

But i think we have to see how this plays out before we actually make too much out of it..

Maybe there is some flyer’s up & we dont know yet?? they would have to be shown in epi 1/s4.. maybe Jason went to Andy & filed a missing person report?? all that will shown in epi 1 when the season starts..

in s3 we got spoiler’s of Sookie looking for Billy.. But Sookie MIA in s4 is not the drive of the plot.. Eric having Amnesia & the witches are.. & when Jessica went missing we only got info on that during the season not from spoiler’s in s2.. how Jessica’s parents were tripping over their missing daughter..

            • sunny says:
              June 1, 2011 at 6:04 pm

But why make SUCH a big deal about Bill’s disappearance of a few days before season 3 aired and NOT make a big deal in s4 out of the fact that Sookie is missing for AN ENTIRE YEAR?

              • IATM says:
                June 1, 2011 at 6:10 pm

Because Billy missing or going away in s3 was the entire plolt of s3.. & Billy had just proposed to Sookie in s2 finale..

AB created the flyer’s of Billy gone missing in s3 ( that was a book 4 thing when Eric went missing & Hallow but up flyer’s)..

Sookie was looking for the Love of her life in s3 ..the man she thought she would marry.. Sookie missing isnt the biggest drive plot in s4.. besides she is only missing for half of 1 epi.. but that will total out to be 1 year.. Billy was missing for a few days/ weeks in s3 & Sookie was all crazy about it..

                • sunny says:
                  June 1, 2011 at 6:13 pm

But Sookie is the main character. It SHOULD be a big deal that she just up and vanishes one day without a trace. If Sookie going missing doesn’t drive any of the other characters into action then there is something very wrong here.

                June 1, 2011 at 6:13 pm

                Also to add..

once the show starts we have to see how the people are talking… i mean Sam is her boss.. he didnt call Jason & ask Jason where is Sookie?? i’m sure he must have otherwise that would be weird IMO..

i mean what kinda friends are these people?? Tara has the excuse of actually leaving town.. but, i guess she didnt call Jason & wonder why Sookie is never home when she call?? alot of that odd ball shit on TB..

          • sunny says:
            June 1, 2011 at 5:59 pm

The ONLY way I can see Jason, in particular, not putting in any effort to find Sookie is if Bill calls and reassures him using Sookie’s voice. I cannot IMAGINE Jason, who threw Bill out of his house and KNOWS Bill nearly killed Sookie, taking Bill’s word for anything, especially Sookie’s whereabouts.

Perhaps they haven’t shown the answer to your question of where is she. That may come once the series airs…..or not.

That is the mystery. How long has she been actually gone?
Who fixed up her house? Did whoever fixed it own it too? So many questions.

Forgot to mention- Episodes 38 to 42.

I’m beginning to feel like it’s too much information.

Gahhh! It won’t let me copy it, but it’s the ep summaries for July. It definitely does not look like Eric is AE until ep 4. Ep 6 says ‘Eric surrenders to his King’s will.’

        Episode 4 it is!

Bill’s got black-clad guards, there are sheriff’s under his purview, he’s making decisions about witches, SA is nowhere in sight, Eric surrenders to his king; am I missing anything? I think the writing is on the wall..

            Regent Bill.
Still gets his hiney chewed out by Nan. Love the brief glimpse of her, she’s fierce.

Ok, so does anyone have any ideas why Sookie would be telling Bill “When have I ever given you a reason not to trust me?”

i have been pondering this over all night Charm..

i wonder if Billy said something to her about “Trust”?? i mean he is explaining his background info to her a little more in s4 & since he is King of Louisana now he might have told her something & said “Not to tell anyone”??

so she responds with “When have i ever given you a reason not to trust me”…
