As predicted, season 4 started with the albedo stage, and it was the overarching focus of the season with all the cleaning, repairing, and healing.

The second wheel is what I called the Triennial Wheel before. The first cycle took 3 seasons to complete, but it is now accelerating. I’m officially renaming it The Hot Vampire Wheel.

Season 1 — Since this is Bill’s season, most of season 1 is stuck in the negredo. It reaches its pinnacle in Gran’s death, Albedo includes Sookie scrubbing the kitchen the morning after the vampire bonfire at Malcom’s place and Eric’s bath at Bill’s, Rubedo is Sookie saving Sam from Rene.

As I read this story I started to become dazzled by the sexual prowess of Christian and his kinky fuckery.  A gorgeous, grey eyed, Dominant, gazillionaire loner who kept the world at arm’s length, literally, as he pursued Anastasia, a young, virgin, lit major, with sky blue eyes to become his latest submissive.  His intent for Anastasia…to sign her weekends, by contract, over to a man who would dominate her in every way.  She would submit to his rules dominating the rest of her life as well.  What she wore, where she went, how she behaved.  As I continued frantically turning page after page, I caught glimpses of Renee’s dancing bear.  When I finished the first book, I immediately picked the second book.  Well, I’m sure you can guess, I did the same with the third book.  When I finished the third book, I took it over to shelf in my armoire where I had stacked the other two books and picked up the first book again.  These books were speaking to me.  I had a feeling that there was so much “more” underneath the dazzling physical beauty, opulent wealth and torrid sexual content.  I re-read them almost ignoring the physical sex, and I heard the words, felt the themes.  His Pride and her Prejudice.  His Sense, and her Sensibility.  Cathy and Heathcliff, Jane and Mr Rochester.  Yes dear readers it’s all there and Emma too.  The second time I found the dancing bear.

These. Books. Are. About. The. Languages. Of. Love.

I have read some reviews where people are saying that EL James is a poor writer who should stick to her day job.  I so disagree.  I will read every single thing this woman writes from now on.  I am dazzled by the breath of her use of the themes of classic literature, classical music and historical romance woven through her story and how she wrote these languages as Christian’s a form of communication to Anastasia.   He was communicating his love and infatuation with words and music, pure and simple.  Of course most of this communication is cleverly placed smack dab in the middle of BDSM scenes when you are so busy taking every erotic thing in…Christian’s choice of words, his own and the classic words written by others, the words to direct Anastasia to his wants, needs and desires found in Hardy, Austen, Bronte…all the classic British romance writers.  Who is better to understand the classic love stories of the British romance classics and be able to understand the meaning behind the voices, tempo, and emotions elicited from classical music than a lit major?  I was floored.

EL James’ use of Hardy’s Tess of the d’Urbervilles to introduce the ongoing dancing bear is so apt for the story. Hearts and flowers or debasement. However, if you look at the Prof, you will see that he wrote a short story, A Pair of Blue Eyes.  Christian and Anastasia communicate with their eyes, his grey, hers sky blue.  Anastasia has a friend, Jose, the son of her father’s best friend, a starving artist photographer, in love with Anastasia, who she sees as a friend and Christian sees as his rival for her love.  I could go on here, but I’m sure you get the picture.  Anastasia wrote her thesis on Hardy’s Tess of the d’Urbervilles.  She would have known his entire works.  I was floored, I knew there was “more. “  So much “more.”

As I mentioned, Christian’s intended seduction of Anastasia to debasement includes classical music.  In a “scene” he ties her to his bed in his “Red Room of Pain,” blind folds her and flogs her while he plays Thomas Tallis for her through earphones remotely connected to his iPod.  Thomas Tallis, really?  Really.  This is three fold and incredibly deep.

-Thomas Tallis was a religious composer who entered the court of Henry VIII during the time he was married to Catherine Parr.  She was    the last of Henry VIII’s wives, his only Queen to become Regent and responsible for restoring Henry VIII’s two daughters to the line of succession to the throne.  Catherine lovingly cared for all three of his children, even after his death and her last marriage to another man.  Aside from Henry’s third wife, Jane Seymour, historians note that he was the most content with wife No. 6.

-The choice of the religious hymn shows his desire to worship her with reverence, body and soul.

-He is forcing her to become attuned to her sensuality with the subversive message that she will make his world right, he will reverently worship her, make her his queen.

Oh yes.  This man is silently splaying his gut open, begging her to succumb to his plea.  Are your panties wet?  Later in the book Anastasia asks Christian what happened to his 15 former submissives.  Christain’s reply:  Oh, you know…divorced, beheaded, dead.

I have only touched the surface of the dancing bear here.  There are so many more, my breath hitched, I shook my head, sighed, and thought:  This woman, EL James is fucking brilliant.  Kinky fuckery, indeed.

There is so much “more” deep within the words on the pages of this book than beautiful wealthy people with more money than sense.  I would love for Alan Ball to produce a movie adaption of these novels.  I think like you, dear TAP readers,  he would get it.

PAMELA SWYNFORD DE BEAUFORT (born 1871) was the daughter of a wealthy London businessman and his peerage wife, who groomed her to be a respectable young lady of society, which bored her no end. A vampire sheriff is a governing overseer who acts as a governor, mayor, and police sheriff combined. The sheriff is responsible for the safety and protection of all the vampires in his or her area. A missing vampire is not only reason for concern in and of itself (like any missing person would be), but it also suggests a potentially greater threat to the stability and sanctity of the area. We learn more from the recent interview of the actress who will be paying an Authority minion Rosalyn Harris that, yep, there be factions.

Firstly, the beauty revealed that there is a battle brewing between vampires who want to go mainstream in the world, and those that don’t. “The Authority members are purely for mainstreaming. We want to be taken seriously. We want to be accepted into this world. We want to be able to live with humans, who outnumber us. That will ensure our survival. There are two differing factions. Are we going to be able to coexist? That is really what this is all about.” Guess which side our Pam is on? Yes, she’s also going to be involved in this battle as well. Look for beautiful Pam to have a say, in a very tricky way!

The next thing Carolyn revealed is about her own character. Rosalyn, the character doesn’t have any romantic entanglements. However, she does have a crush on someone we all know and love.  Two hints! He’s a vampire! So, what did you think, it’d be Jason Stackhouse? No, that’s just white trash from Bon Temps, were-panthers and Truebies!

Lastly, beautiful actress Hennessey revealed that, “there is a real push for mainstreaming. A real push. And then what ultimately results from that tremendous push.”  Ok, you think we get the point yet?

Vampire Authority

“Are you serious?  Who are the Authority?  What gave then the authority?  Nothing. No one.  They took it, as I am taking it today.  I no longer recognize the…Authority.”  Russell Edgington.

The vampire Authority is a clandestine council comprising of seven of the most powerful vampires in existence.  This council is the ultimate authority over all vampires across the globe, and is worshiped by many with an almost religious fervor.

The Authority was created by the vampire Roman over 2,000 year ago, and has spent many centuries working in secret to acquire absolute power over the vampire race.  Using state-of-the-art technology and a secret police, the Authority controls every aspect of Institutional vampire society, from the monarchs to the agenda of the American Vampire League, by setting law and settling disputes.  Defying the Authority is considered treason.  The Authority is said to give vampire monarchs their power ans is even a higher position of power that The Magister.  It is known that many vampires fear it, though Russell Edgington mocks the idea.

Rosalyn Harris is an ancient female vampire who originates from Prague, but has resided in Texas for the past 500 years.  She serves the Authority as a Chancellor, and is described as having hair high enough to interfere with air traffic, a homespun wisdom-spouting mouth and a firm hand.  Roslyn passionately supports the mainstreaming movement orchestrated by the Authority’s founder, Roman, and has a deep love of humanity.

Alexander Drew

Alexander Drew is an angelic looking, yet impetuous vampire.  He was turned at the tender age of 9, and serves the Authority as a Chancellor.  He enjoys smoking cigarettes and taunting everyone around him, including his fellow Chancellors.

Nan Flanagan

“I have been alive for 816 years.  I refuse to be retired like a fat first wife!”  Nan Flanagan

Nan Flanagan was a prominent vampire rights activist and key spokesperson.  Speaking on behalf of the American VampireLeague, she would often be seen on television debating over the rights entitled to her species.  Off-camera, she displayed a ruthless attitude and focused on pushing through the AVL’s agenda.  She was a figure of authority among vampires, being both a member and representative of the Authority; she ranked higher than vampire monarchs and sheriffs, and had the power to execute, fire and appoint sheriffs and monarchs.

She was very concerned with the representation of vampires in U.S. media, deciding to fire Godric after his actions with the Fellowship of the Sun and ordering for the death of Russell Edgington after he murdered a human on live television.  Ultimately, her concern for media portrayal brought her down; when witch Marine Stonebrook started a violent campaign against vampires, she would not allow the local vampire hing to kill the witch, causing Marine to invade an important PR event by letting possessed vampires wreak havoc.  Nan learned the Authority was planning the True Death for her, so she attempted to rebel by joining forces with Bill Compton and Eric Northman, offering them secrecy about the fae friend.  Unfortunately, they would not have any of it and staked her.

Minions

Nora

Nora is a vampire who was made by Godric centuries ago when she was between the ages of 25-35 and is said to be beautiful She works as a double agent within the Authority.  Nora is described as being intelligent, intimidating, cool under pressure and a very good liar.  She loves her brother, Eric Northman, deeply, but has dedicated her life to a higher purpose.

Nora was the only female member of the Authority shown onscreen when Eric was being interrogated by the Authority.  After Eric expressed his desire for revenge against Russell Edgington, she leaned over to her colleague and whispered something in his ear.    Eric was subsequently cleared of all charges and given permission to execute Russell Edgington.

Dieter Braun

“We were created in God’s image, not humans. and their flesh shall nourish yours.  Their blood shall flow within you.  For as the beetle nourishes the lark, so shall human nourish vampire.” Deiter Braun

Dieter Braun is an ancient male vampire, who works for the Authority as an “intelligence specialist.”  Mature, self-possessed, calm and authoritative, with piercing gaze.  Dieter is extremely intimidating, despite his average build, and he uses innovative methods to torture prisoners during interrogation.

Molly

Molly, in her 20′s, bubbly with a retro Bettie Page/Suicide Girl vibe, “cute as a button if buttons had fangs.”  She worked for the Authority and outfits two prisoners with complicated deadly devices.

Hayes

Hayes is a large vampire of Eastern European descent.   He works for the Authority and is dispatched to deliver the true death to another vampire.

Jorje Alonso de San Diego

“Do you question my authority?  I am magister.  I was trained in the Inquisition and I am the adjudicator for every vampire territory in North America.  As the humans say, the humans you love more than your own kind, back your shit down.”  Jorje Alonso de San Diego

The Magister was tyrannic, intimidating, overpowering and enjoyed exploiting his superiority over lesser beings including humans and even other vampires.  Because of this, many vampires were intimidated by him because of his political power and advanced age.  He believed that vampires should rule humans and that humans were nothing but servants.  The Magister met his true death at the hands of Russell Edgington after a confrontation in the basement of Eric’s bar Fangtasia.

The Gatekeeper

The Gatekeeper is a vmapir whos real name and history is unknown. She was part of the “Great Relelation” and ran the website RevenantOnes.com.

Louis Pasteur is a famous French chemist who is remembered for his remarkable breakthroughs in the causes and preventions of diseases.  It is said that Louis is a vampire and is along with other vampire scientists and chemists worked on an alternative food source for vampires.

Our adventures in Billshit begin with the human birth of William T Compton in 1835.  He was a loyal son, husband, father, soldier, and friend during his human life. His ancestors originally from England, came to the New World in the late 17th century and soon settled in Louisiana. Enhanced feature, season 1 bluray.

William grew up a privileged young Southern gentleman living near the newly named parish seat of Caddo Parish, Louisiana.   Shreve Town was originally contained within the boundaries of a section of land sold to the company by the indigenous Caddo Indians in the year of 1835. In 1838, Caddo Parish was created from the large Natchitoches Parish and Shreve Town became the parish seat. Shreveport remains the parish seat of Caddo Parish today. As other states, except Alaska, have counties: Louisiana has parishes. In essence, they are the same. On March 20, 1839, the town was incorporated as “Shreveport.” Originally, the town consisted of sixty-four city blocks, created by eight streets running west from the Red River and eight streets running south from Cross Bayou, one of its tributaries.

Shreveport soon became a center of steamboat commerce, mostly cotton and agricultural crops. Shreveport also had a slave market, though slave trading was not as widespread as in other parts of the state. Steamboats plied the Red River, and stevedores loaded and unloaded cargo. By 1860, Shreveport had a free population of 2,200 and 1,300 slaves within the city limits. Wikipedia

He met his lovely wife, Caroline at a Debutante Ball, more than likely in Shreveport, in 1857 and he was so smitten that he married his Deb 3 months later. Caroline Grant Compton was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1840, to Theodore and Leona Grant. Her father owned a sugar plantation and was one of the first men in Louisiana to free his slaves prior to the Civil War.  From this information we can assume that the first of William and Caroline’s children, Sarah Compton was born sometime between 1858 and 1861.  Her mother had sent her to Tennessee during the smallpox outbreak, which claimed the life of the Comptons’ other child, Thomas, in 1868. William left his wife Caroline and their two young children for training with the Confederate Army’s Gray’s 28^th for the South in the Civil War against the Northern Aggression at, Camp Jackson, near Vienna — June – July, 1862.  However, William would have been conscripted to war on April 16, 1861 when the Confederate conscription law approved by CSA President Jefferson Davis and it required service by all eligible males between the ages of 18 and 35.   Caroline would have raised her children and busied herself in the war effort. During the American Civil War, Shreveport was the capital of Louisiana from 1863–1865, having succeeded, first, Baton Rouge, and then Opelousas after each fell under Union control. The city was a Confederate stronghold throughout the war and was the site of the headquarters of the Trans-Mississippi Department of the Confederate Army. Isolated from events in the east, the Civil War continued in the Trans-Mississippi theater for several weeks after Robert E. Lee‘s surrender in April 1865, and the Trans-Mississippi was the last Confederate command to surrender, on May 26, 1865. Confederate President Jefferson Davis attempted to flee to Shreveport when he left Richmond but was captured en route in Irwinville, Georgia.

Throughout the war, women in Shreveport did much to assist the soldiers fighting mostly far to the east. Historian John D. Winters in his The Civil War in Louisiana writes, accordingly:

“The women of Shreveport and vicinity labored long hours over their sewing machines to provide their men with adequate underclothing and uniforms. After the excitement of Fort Sumter, there was a great rush to get the volunteer companies ready and off to New Orleans. . . . Forming a Military Aid Society, the ladies of Shreveport requested donations of wool and cotton yarn for knitting socks. Joined by others, the Society collected blankets for the wounded and gave concerts and tableaux to raise funds. Tickets were sold for a diamond ring given by the mercantile house of Hyams and Brothers. . . .

A Confederate minstrel show gave two performances to raise money for the war effort in Shreveport in December 1862. The Shreveport Ladies Aid Society announced a grand dress ball for April 6, 1863. That same month students at the Mansfield Female College in Mansfield in De Soto Parish presented a vocal and instrumental concert to support the war.

1865

June 2, 1865, General E. Kirby Smith’s army of the Trans-Mississippi surrendered, the last of the Confederate army to do so.  William would have been released for his long walk home.  Hungry, he came upon a cabin, knocked and met his maker and he was turned vampire by Lorena Krasiki.

1868

Sarah William and Caroline Compton’s son, Thomas Charles Compton was more than likely born in the beginning of 1862 and died of smallpox during a local outbreak in 1868.  He was buried by his father, who by then had become a vampire. Bloodlines, season 3, bluray.

William returned to his former home and his wife only saw him once again.  It was a devastating reunion, ending only after Bill glamoured her into forgetting about his return, then buried their son, Thomas.  Bloodlines, season 3, bluray.

William is conflicted with his vampire existence.  He had grown tired of the games he and Lorena played for 70 years, but William had been making good use of his nights.  William wanted to be on his way and persuaded Lorena to release him.

Pam’s character perspective

Vampire 101. A maker always has control over their progeny, a given of course. But during those healthy petulant years ‘as your maker I command you’ reminder never hurts. They can roam the world without you, their obliged to you in every way, but of course, every rule has a loophole. Set your progeny free and they are no longer yours to control.

The only way a vampire can be set free by his or her maker is by having the maker say the words, “As your maker, I release you.”

Being released by your maker so soon after turning is not common. But then what is with Bill Compton? Always playing by different rules, forging new ground fighting some sanctimonious fights that doesn’t even exist. Such drama. But in this particular scenario, he won. Lorena released him which means he’s as free as a bird. He will always sense her but he will no longer be obliged to follow her orders. I just lost a little respect for her. Bluray features 2.07

Diane Virginia Hardwicke

(Born 1904, made vampires 1938) Diane ended her human life in Niagara Falls, Canada, the night the Honeymoon Bridge collapsed. Diane had been brought there on a “second honeymoon” by her husband Virgil, with whom she had a tumultuous relationship in which Diane was berated for being barren. This trip turned out to be their last together. No deaths were reported, but Diane knows better. .  Not long after her transformation, Diane has a single sexual encounter with Bill Compton.  Years later, she was destroyed in a Bon Temps fire set by Royce Williams.  Enhanced feature, season 1 bluray.

Eric has been weakened by Hep-D.  Sookie remembers the closeness she and Eric shared while he was cursed.  Lala, Fangtasia’s new bartender and bouncer extraordinaire wrote up his Last Will and Testament listing his Barbie doll house and Barbie doll car as assets.  Sookie visits Le Deux’s house and finds a wall sized mural of Lorena on a wall and was attacked by Le Deux who had waited 100 years for his revenge…

Sookie tells Le Deux:

“Let me go.”

Le Deux holds onto Sookie from behind.

Le Deux says:  “I can’t wait to taste you.  You smell like killing feels–absofucking-lutely delicious.  You are about to become a sweet little Sookie stain.  And I-”

Crak.  Le Deux pops a fang boner.   He looks over his shoulder and says:

“What the Fu–?”

Det Killian West enters through a set of french doors and shoots Le Deux.

“Gaaaaah!” Le Deux drops Sookie.

And Sookie says:

“Oofta!”

Det West tells Sookie:

“Stay down, you stupid little–”

Sookie tells Det West:

“Your not exactly who I was expecting to save my ass.  But thanks.”

Det West replies:

“When the sun’s up, I’m the best you can hope for…it’s also personal.  This motherfucker tried to kill me.”

Ever the grateful southern gal, Sookie tells Det West:

“Is that what it takes to get the N.O.P.D. to pay attention?  Because I know several people who would like to get your attention.”

Det West explains:

“You may not like me, Stackhouse–or how the cops work in New Orleans–but this is my city.  Ans at the end of the day, I do my job- even if I don’t like the people I’m protecting and serving.”

Le Deux, recovered from being shot tells Sookie and Det West:

“And isn’t that why we’re really here?”

Det West tells Sookie:

“Piss off, Stackhouse.”

Le Deux greets Det West:

“Hello Killian.”

Sookie tells Det West:

“There’s more?  I can’t take much more.  And by the way, Mr Makes-his-own-rules–when you save the girl, you’re supposed to kill the crazy vampire!”

Le Deux lunges for Det West.

“I’m going to rip off your head and put it on my mantle.  Start a new collection.”

Le Deux tells Det West by the arm that is holding a stake and his neck.

“You distasteful wretch, I shall dance on your grave…you, and Compton’s little tramp-”

As Le Deux fights Det West and his stake, Sookie hurls a vase at his head.  Thwack. She says:

“Get offa him you…wigged freak!”

Le Deux grabs Sookie by her shirt:

“Little girl, you really need to be put in your place.  Preferrably in pieces.”

Le Deux flicks Sookie as if she is a fly into a wall.  Thud. And Sookie says:

“Ow, Ow, dammit Sookie, ow.

Eric and Bill enter through the french doors by the light of the full moon.  Eric says:

“Get away from her, before I tear your head off and bathe in your entrails.  This is between you and me.  Godric and I killed Guerra.  And at least I enjoyed it.”

Le Deux advances on Eric while Bill rushes over to Sookie, kneels beside her and says:

“Sookie-”

Sookie tells Bill to:

“Save it.  Help Eric.”

As Eric and Le Deux eye-fuck each other, Eric says:

“Get her the fuck out of here, Compton.”

Sookie dares Bill:

“Try it, Bill.”

Eric tells Sookie and Bill:

“Go, he wants me!”

Sookie tells Eric and Bill:

“He wants Bill.  Because of Lorena.”

Eric, looking astonished says:

“What?”

Bill, looking quite angry says:

“What?”

A sad faced Le Deux tells them:

“She was my world.  She was so vicious, so beautiful, so perfectly monstrous.  And the Bill I-am-so-sad, Compton came along and ruined it!  She lost all interest in me.  She lusted after the corrupted humanity she had found in him.”

Sad tears of blood fall from Le Deux’s eyes as he continues.

“She abandoned me.  For this waste of a blood sucking sack who never appreciated the gift he was given.  I knew I would one day make you pay for squandering her love.”

With a concurring look, Eric says:

“He’s not entirely wrong about Bill, but…

Eric continues:

“-This is seriously about Lorena?   Lorena?“

Sookie admits to Eric:

“Yeah.  She continues to suck from beyond her splattery grave.”

Poor, poor pitiable Bill says:

“My worth as a vampire aside, Lorena was a horrific monster who held me in thrall for longer than I want to remember.  My time with her was an abomination.”

Sookie supports Bill’s statement:

“She was a real heinous bitch, Le Deux.”

Bill interrupts Sookie.

“Sookie, I would not-”

Annoyed, Sookie verbally slams Bill:

“Oh, Please.  She tried to kill me and you.  I’ll call her anything I want.  She was righteous trash.  Dying in a goopy, ugly mess was exactly what she deserved.”

Eric says:

“Just like this asshole.”

Le Deux takes exception to that:

“Fucking shut up I will kill you!!!”

Le Deux drop kicks Eric across the room.

Sookie pleadingly says:

“Bill.”

Sookie pleads with Bill:

“We have to help somehow. Eric can’t-”

Bill tells Sookie:

“Eric can handle it.  Most likely.”

An angry Sookie says:

“Wait, I have an idea-”

As Bill holds Sookie, Le Deux coils back to strike Eric:

“Your death will be exquisitely painful, Northman.  And then, Compton, I am going to tear your faerie whore to bits before I take my time ending you.”

From behind Sookie, Bill says:

“As intriguing as that sounds…

As she approaches Eric and Le Deux with her hand behind her back she says:

“I think my bits are staying right here.”

Eric sees the wisdom of Sookie’s plan and wrestles Le Deux into position.  A surprised Le Deux says:

“Ahhhh-!”

As Sookie stakes Le Deux, Eric rips off his head.

Bill joins Sookie and Eric.  Eric drops Le Deux’s head and they look at the goopy puddle on the floor.  Sookie says:

“Wait, Where the hell is West?  That weasel , he ran out on us!”

Eric makes a suggestion to Bill.

“Bill, pay a visit to Detective West’s house.  Sookie and I will get the car so we can get the fuck out of this town.”

Bill agrees.

“Indeed.  I’ll be sure yo discuss with him…his errant behavior.”

Sookie agrees too.

“All right.  But don’t be long.”

Bill asks:

“Would I ever leave you alone with Eric for longer than necessary ?”

Bill knocks on Det West’s door.  Det West opens the door:

“There is no way in hell I’m invitin’ you in, Mr Compton.”

Bill says:

“I cannot say I am surprised.  Was it purely for money West?  What promises did Le Deux make that he decided not to keep?”

Det West says:

“That’s a wonderful story.  Very Sherlock Holmes.  Any proof?  Because otherwise I’d like to get back to watching television.”

A menacing Bill replies:

“Not enough proof to get you fired, or any other human means of stopping you.  But then, I am a vampire.  And I have learned that sometimes the rules do not apply.  So I have notified certain…groups.  I would watch you back, and all you other vital parts, West.”

Bill rips a section of the wood front porch roof support post.  He continues:

“You see, you don’t have to invite me in for us to get you.”

Bill takes his lighter to the piece of wood and continues:

“I promised Sookie I would not hurt you.  But if a fire just happens to burn your house down?  At the very least, this is just the beginning of you life running from every vampire who crosses your path.”

West says:

“Screw you, Compton.  You and your lowlife friends.”

Bill lowers the porch torch and ignites the dry bushed in front of West’s porch.

“Good luck, West.  You are going to need it.”

West grabs a fire extinguisher and put out the fire.

Eric and Sookie chat while sitting in the back seat of a car.

“You shouldn’t have endangered yourself, Sookie.  But I’m learning that you can’t be told what to do.”

Sookie agrees:

“Nope.  Even if it’s for my own good, apparently.”

Eric says:

“Being weak like this…it reminds me of being human.  Of when I was just a man.”

Sookie says:

“There are worse things, you know.”

Eric says:

“Not for me.  But I will recover from my ailment, it is only a matter of time before I am well.”

Sookie says:

“Eric-”

You’ll never guess who interrupts them…

Bill says:

“Excuse me…so my suspisions were confirmed, West’s actions were the result of an alliance between he and Le Deux.  Until Le Deux decided not to honor his part of the bargain.”

Sookie asks Bill:

“You didn’t hurt him, did you Bill?  I know he’s an ass but-”

Bill interrupts:

“No, Sookie.  I simply…suggested he leave town for a bit and find a less…haxardous line of work.”

Sookie, sitting between Eric and Bill, stretches her arm over hear head, and says:

“Good!  I have to say New Orleans is not of tea.  I’ll be happy to get back to Bon Temps and my own bed.”

Eric tells Sookie what he would like too:

“I would love to get back to your bed, too.”

Sookie says:

“Shush, Eric.  We were having a nice time.  Don’t ruin it.”

Eric looks over to Bill and says:

“You know you were thinking the very same thing, Compton.”

Sookie rolls her eyes and says:

“Like two old ladies. With fangs.”

Lala answers his front door.  Pam says:

“I need to talk to you Lafayette.”

Lala says:

“And I thought you were her to sell cookies.”

Pam says:

“Don’t be rude, invite me in.”

Lala says:

“That sounds like a terrible idea.”

Pam being her charming self says:

“Let me the fuck in.  Please.”

Lala agrees:

“Well, since you asked so nicely…Come on in, your vampy highness.  Welcome to my humble abode.”

Pam says:

“Your taste in decorating is as bad as your taste in jewelry.  All flash and no class.”

It’s an unusual and uncomfortable moment for Pam…and it’s one that’s not likely to be repeated any time soon.

Lala asks:

“Did you come her to insult my fabulousness, or did you have somethin’ else on your mind?”

Pam says:

“Fine.  Yes, I wanted to say…well, first you did a good job.  And I…well, fuck it, I appreciate it.  For on of the girliest boys I’ve ever met, you’ve got some balls.  We’ve got a few things in common.”

Lala says:

“Yeah?  Our mutual admiration of the color pink?”

Pam says:

“More like the fact that I’m a woman and I don’t take shit for anyone and -”

Lala interrupts:

“-I’m a man who has taken shit from almost everyone.  But not this time.”

Pam says:

“Something like that.  Your, let’s call it, amicable severance.  I hope I fucking never have to see you in Fangtasia again.”

Lala agrees:

“Bitch, you and me both.”

Sookie says goodnight to Bill on her front porch.

“Thanks for seeing me home, Bill.  You didn’t have to.”

Bill says:

“I wanted to.  Is someone else home?”

Sookie says:

“No, the lights are ona timer.  Figured I should start thinking about my safety around here at night.”

Bill says:

“Sookie I…I am sorry that Lorena continues to-”

Sookie interrupts:

“Bill, it’s all right.  She’s dead.  An it wasn’t your fault.”

Sad panda face Bill says:

“My past will never forget the pain I’ve caused…things that have hurt people I…care about.”

Sookie says:

“Bill mdon’t.  I an’t.  Just say goodnight.”

Sad panda face Bill says:

“All right.  Goodnight Sookie.”

Sookie goes inside her house.  Eeeeaaaakkkk-!

Bill runs into Sookie’s house to save her.

“Sookie, What is it!  What is wrong?”

Sookie says:

“Bill…  I…”

Insane vampire serial killers, jealous white trash werewolves, even shame-sucking Imp Shaloops-

Bill crouches in Sookie’s kitchen to assess the problem.

“It is a possum.  It must have entered through the mud room.”

Sookie says:

“I know.  Isn’t it disgusting.  Ha Ha Ha Ha etc.”

Sookie Stackhouse takes these dangerous supernatural threats in stride; as if she was dealing with drunk customers on a Saturday night at Merlotte’s.  Most of the time it takes a lot to get her to scream.  Tonight it only takes a little to get her to laugh.

It’s vampire politics as usual around the town of Bon Temps, but never before have they hit so close to Sookie’s heart…

Growing up with telepathic abilities, Sookie Stackhouse realized early on there were things she’d rather not know. And now that she’s an adult, she also realizes that some things she knows about, she’d rather not see—like Eric Northman feeding off another woman. A younger one.

There’s a thing or two she’d like to say about that, but she has to keep quiet—Felipe de Castro, the Vampire King of Louisiana (and Arkansas and Nevada), is in town. It’s the worst possible time for a human body to show up in Eric’s front yard—especially the body of the woman whose blood he just drank.

Now, it’s up to Sookie and Bill, the official Area Five investigator, to solve the murder. Sookie thinks that, at least this time, the dead girl’s fate has nothing to do with her. But she is wrong. She has an enemy, one far more devious than she would ever suspect, who’s set out to make Sookie’s world come crashing down.

Season 3′s Bluray feature True Blood Lines gave us some very interesting information regarding the Reynolds and Thornton families.  I am interested in seeing who moves from which classification.

A new feature for Season 4:  True Time Line.  It should also be interesting to see if they follow all the external timelines supporting an arc from 2008 to 2011 or if they will continue to shove at us the timeline presented on screen with a one year gap between seasons 3 and 4, still leaving us in 2009.

I am also looking forward to the Post-production Round Table.  I suspect it is the same video discussion we saw in a UTube video some months ago.

Pre-order the Bluray or DVD at HBO.  Or if you can live without the projector pen here for a lot less.
