"And Eric never had only his side of the cuff on, he pulled them out of his pocket and cuffed Russell first then himself."
Right! And when Sookie trained her glow hands on the cuffs she broke them in half so she could free Eric, yet the cuffs in this pic are still a whole unit. So, you know, what the ever-lovin' fuck is going on here? This has GOT to be a clue we didn't see the full scope of that scene.

OfflineWait!! What? "Blue silk boxers would be the perfect attire for Eric…" Eric wears boxers?? I always imagined he went commando :)
The photo bothers me – my first thought was that it looked photoshopped but there are also things (aside from the sleight -of-crotch grommet) like shadow letters on the lapel (what ARE they? Not buttonholes, surely) and a little claspy thing on the neck of the jacket (just under the little puff of smoke).
The grommet at least isn't photoshopped:
The presence of a grommet on his pants could be a clue that he's wearing theatrical applicances –and make-up–to simulate burning.

My absolute favourite moment excluding the, ahem, "First Time".
He's is so joyful, so free, so playful, so human. Showing the fun side of Eric.
It's interesting to note that the first thing Sook was concerned about was the croc biting off his you know what when she told him to get out of the water.
imo, the above was a (clearly) a 'baptism' of some sort.
I agree with you mbb. You should read through the Alchemy pages on this site. Renee predicted the water and washing symbolism for season 4. Her take on the alchemical stages of TB makes for fascinating reading.

Offline"Bill sees himself as without sin."
Exactly Jerron.
I don't have quite a handle on it yet, but I think Bill somehow managed to disrupt or interrupt the alchemical process of season 4. It was going swimmingly haha, but something happened mid-way through, I think as symbolized by the fact that no water came out of the E/S shower, then they entered a 'frozen' landscape. I think we were thrown back into the negredo stage with the 'death'– permanent or not– of Tara, but I'm not sure. I'm going to try and put my thoughts together on this, but Renee of course is much better suited.
